You told us on Facebook about the Hummus recipe and of course we put it.
Hummus means chickpea in Arabic. This recipe has become very fashionable in recent years, although it was consumed centuries ago in Spain.
Hummus is an ideal dish for snacking or to accompany all kinds of dishes. It is a great way to consume legumes and you can leave it ready as it is served cold.
In addition, it is healthy, light and easy to prepare, what more could you ask for?
Ingredients to prepare the hummus
400 g of cooked chickpeas
1 large tablespoon of tahini or sesame puree
Sesame seeds
2 garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
The juice of a lemon
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon of salt
Hot or sweet paprika
Tahini can be difficult to find, but you can always make it yourself by mashing the sesame with the rest of the ingredients.
preparation of the recipe
This recipe is super simple, in 5 minutes you will have it ready.
STEP 1. - We add the ingredients
(If you use already cooked chickpeas, remember to rinse them well under the tap).
Put the chickpeas, garlic cloves, a small spoonful of cumin, a teaspoon of salt, a spoonful of tahini and the oil in the blender glass.
STEP 2.- Preparation
Blend everything very well until it becomes a fine paste.
If you don't have a blender, I have sometimes prepared it with a chopper, repeating it several times so that the pasta is fine but it is also perfect.
STEP 3.- Dressing
Finally sprinkle with paprika, some sesame seeds and a little olive oil.
What can you accompany chickpea hummus with?
